Pleasant Haunting Visions (Hare)
The Poem which inspired this print is called 'The Secret of the Sea' by Henry Wadsworth Longfellow and features hare having a frolic in the sea near a lighthouse.
The theme for this series of prints is wildlife by the sea. I have made a series of twleve prints that are inspired by a particular animal, bird or place on the coast of the beautiful British Isles. Using the inspiration of a captivating and evocative poem I have woven words into a lino print which breaths life into the imagination. It was printed on my homemade wooden printing press here in Northamptonshire
This print is one of a limited edition of 50 and hand printed and therefore unique. It is signed and numbered
The Image Size is 31cm x 31cm and is printed onto paper sized 42.0 x 59.4 in cm or A2.
