Christmas Cards
Send your friends and relations these special Christmas card designs inspired by animals and birds of the British countryside in the depths of winter. Lino-cut and woodblock prints have influenced me when creating these artworks which I turned into beautiful greetings cards to be sent out this December.
Five Christmas Card Designs (Square 148x148mm)
Jamie's Christmas Cards
This is a set of five, ten or twenty cards made up of five Christmas Designs.
They are a delicate A6 size (148 x 148mm) and come with a nice red envelope. These unique designs are a great way to wish your friends and family a Merry Christmas this year.
The 'paintings' are made using collage techniques and the words are taken from the poetry of John Clare (1793-1864) the famous Northamptonshire poet. To make the original artworks I printed the poems in a range of up to date and trendy colours and then cut, ripped, arranged and glued the words into these inspired designs.
My inspiration comes from nature and wonderful lino cut print making that I admire. I hope you love these designs as much as I did making them!

The wide range of habitats such as the rugged coastline, mountains, wildflower meadows, wetlands, marshes, woodlands, hills, and dales of the United Kingdom are full of a diverse range of animals and birds. These offer endless inspiration for Jamie's artwork and his enthusiasm is seen in the colours, textures and atmosphere he applies to his paintings.
My artwork frequently uses a range of mixed media techniques that have also incorporate words. In recent years this has become more important and now collage is a major part of my work which often uses words of poetry as well as paint. The lines of various poems have been woven into this imagery - segments of which can be read!
M Skinner 28 Sep 2021 This is a lovely Winter/Christmas print. Good quality. Arrived quickly. I love the idea of turning a poem into a picture, giving so much detail to read and look at, apart from the obvious picture! Very talented artist. Will look very seasonal once it is framed and displayed .
