My Christian faith often goes hand in hand with my passion for nature and the environment. God can be both felt and seen in the natural world; when observing the wind blowing through the trees in Autumn or on a still Summer evening by the waterside. I capture this in my work and also imbues it with a sense of fun and often drama that can be observed on a walk or when alone in a beautiful place.

Prayer crosses bring together the inspiration of God's creation of Nature with that of the Christian faith. I look for the verses found in the Bible and incorporates them into my designs. Words of the Bible are printed onto paper in carefully chosen colour schemes and then collaged by hand before being printed onto wood.

These artworks frequently use a range of mixed media techniques that have also incorporated words. In recent years this has become more important and now collage is a major part of my work which often uses words poetry as well as paint. The lines of various poems have been woven into his imagery - segments of which can be read.

The wide range of habitats such as the rugged coastline, mountains, wildflower meadows, wetlands, marshes, woodlands, hills, and dales of the United Kingdom are full of a diverse range of animals and birds. These offer endless inspiration for my artwork and my enthusiasm is seen in the colours, textures and atmosphere applied to the paintings.
