Inspired by Scottish landscapes in the United Kingdom this print is a collage of printed prayers, poetry and passages from the Bible. I have used a fresh, uplifting colour pallet with imagery that reminds us of the wonderful world we are a part of.

Jamie takes a great deal of his inspiration from walking down the many hidden pathways of the English landscapes and enjoys depicting the tranquillity and beauty of the English countryside. Coastal views, riverside walks and changing weather, lead him to use a variety of materials including text, poetry, and Bible passages, various papers and rich vibrant colours. Jamie has enjoyed walking in Scotland and was inspired to make this artwork following his visit.

Jamie's artwork frequently uses a range of mixed media techniques that have also incorporated words. In recent years this has become more important and now collage is a major part of his work which often uses words poetry as well as paint. The lines of various poems have been woven into his imagery - segments of which can be read.
The wide range of habitats such as the rugged coastline, mountains, wildflower meadows, wetlands, marshes, woodlands, hills, and dales of the United Kingdom are full of a diverse range of animals and birds. These offer endless inspiration for Jamie's artwork and his enthusiasm is seen in the colours, textures and atmosphere he applies to his paintings.
