The Boat Series
The British Isles are surrounded by the most beautiful coastlines. These wild places are homes to countless species of wildlife and clifftops, beaches, harbours and coves. I have enjoyed exploring these places over my lifetime and like many people enjoy the tranquility and fresh air it provides.
Boats have graceful curved shapes and structures and when combined with the weathered appeal of the salty sea water are an artist's dream subject. These paintings aim to capture some of this using the inspired poetry of people such as Barry Cornwall who wrote the poem called, 'The Sea'. I have used his words to collage and make two of my pictures below. Lines of poetry are woven into each part of these paintings to create bright, optimistic and fun artworks.
These artworks are available as place mats, coasters or greetings cards and can also be printed on wood to hand as wall art in your home or business.
